URBAN IMMERSION & COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
Located in the heart of Denver, our Urban Internship exposes students to a myriad of complex social issues surrounding poverty, unemployment, homelessness, and gentrification. Students will intern with several non-profit organizations committed to developing the Denver urban community. These internships develop student interests in business, counseling, education, politics and social services.
The internship combines vocational work experience with opportunities to hear from members of the community, read significant texts exploring urban issues, and discuss the complex social challenges facing many urban communities. Students will also have ample opportunity to explore Denver and the beautiful Rocky Mountains. Be prepared for a summer like you’ve never experienced as we embrace a full life: one of service, one of community, one of adventures, and one completely engaged in the world around us.
Tuition and Fees for the internship include room and board in downtown Denver, all transportation for internship program, multiple excursions into the rocky mountains, seminars, texts, and the educational program. Airfare to Denver is not included.
