Want to be a catalyst for change in a needy world?  Dive headlong into another culture with a cohort of others interested in seeing real change as it happens.

Our Internship edVentures are full immersion experiences that engage students in a new culture through vocational opportunities alongside grounded not-for-profit organizations that understand the needs of their community and are working toward tangible development.

Our internship cohorts explore complex socio-economic challenges facing the culture they engage.  They will learn through assigned reading, guided individual reflection, vocational work in a particular discipline of interest, and facilitated group discussion.  Seminars with community leaders and the internship faculty help students explore and process these complex challenges through a variety of significant lenses.

Impact arranges vocational opportunities in a variety of fields including agriculture, business, education, medicine, pastoral ministry, and social services.

Our internships last 3-6 weeks.  During each of those weeks students will spend a few days (typically  Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday)  interning with one of our local non-profit partners and several days in discussion oriented seminars (typically Monday & Friday).  While the internships are each uniquely developed around the student’s interests, the seminars push students to reflect more broadly on the complex challenges facing that community.  Students are also challenged to consider how the lessons they are discovering connect to their own communities back home.  Weekends are dedicated to exploring the host country and serving as a cohort.
