It’s easy to read Twain and get excited, but we’ve all had mountain top experiences that haven‘t translated into lasting change. They haven’t refined our personal DNA.
We started Impact edVentures believing in the difference between observing and experiencing. Our one big idea is that our experiences can be game changers in a person’s life. Why is experience often named the greatest teacher? Because intentional experiences help to form our souls, to define us. Through challenge we are squeezed, pressed, and honed into stronger people. We discover who we are and what we’re made of. In the process, our passions surface and our skills sharpen. Choose your metaphor – a coal turned diamond under pressure, a spark catching fire in a tinderbox – challenging experiences alter our perspective in paradigm shifting ways.
